Black Bird Bookstore

Just a few blocks from ocean beach, they have coffee and pastries, a smaller curated selection of books so it’s not overwhelming but they have good taste. The backyard garden is a nice little sanctuary to read and drink coffee. Lots of events, art openings, poetry open mic, and just sweet neighbors hanging out. It’s basically my millennial Cheers.

Across the street is Hookfish where you can get fish tacos, ceviche, fish n chips etc. walk to the beach or Golden Gate Park to read your books or chill.
